Musicians from around the world join Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Co-Artistic Director David Finckel in pairs of violins, violas, and cellos in this delightful program of string trios and sextets by Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky.
After beginning with Bach, who used six voices to compose his fugue-on-demand for Frederick the Great, the group splits for Classical and Romantic string trios, before re-combining in Strauss’s Sextet from Capriccio and Tchaikovsky’s blockbuster “Souvenir de Florence.”
